Med ett späckat program med tal av bland andra universitets rektor Erik Renström, entreprenören David Polfeldt och Lisa Lang från EIT Climate KIC blandat med debatter med till exempel representanter från textil- och modebranschen gjorde Lunds universitet ett mycket intressant avstamp inför arbetet inom en KIC inom Kulturella och kreativa sektorer och näringar. Nu går det att se filmen!
I slutet av april 2022 arrangerade Lunds universitet ”The Buzz of Europe” för att ge en försmak av vad arbetet skulle kunna innebära efter den ansökan som konsortiet Creative Futures lämnat in till EU. Det konsortium som EU utser till en KIC, Knowledge and Innovation Community, kan få arbeta med upp till 800 miljoner kronor om året i 15 år. Mer än hundra företag, regioner, städer, lärosäten och kulturinstitutioner har gått samman för att kunna ta del av den stora satsningen, och Lunds universitet är en av organisationerna bakom ansökan. I månadsskiftet juli/augusti får Creative Futures besked om ansökan gått igenom – men även om ett annat konsortiums vinner kommer Lunds universitets nätverk, Creatives & Friends, att vara delaktigt.
